This minifigure represents a German Panzer (tank) crewman from the World War II era. The Chinese text in the image, “护目镜” (Hùmùjìng), which translates to “Goggles,” highlights his most characteristic piece of equipment.
He is a generic character representing a member of Germany’s famed armored forces. Panzer crews were distinguished by their unique black uniforms, which were originally designed to hide oil and grease stains but also became a symbol of their elite status within the German military.
The item in the picture is a single, detailed toy minifigure:
- His most prominent feature is the pair of goggles printed as if hanging around his neck. These were essential for protecting a tank crewman’s eyes from dust and debris inside the vehicle, or from the wind when looking out of the hatch.
- He is wearing the distinctive black Panzer uniform, which included a short, double-breasted jacket. His printed equipment includes a leather belt, a pistol holster, and Y-strap suspenders.
- His headgear is a dark grey Stahlhelm (steel helmet).
- The head print is highly stylized with pale skin and piercing blue eyes, giving him a cold and intimidating look.
