German combat medics (Sanitäter) equipped to act as stretcher-bearers (Krankenträger) World War II – Custom Printed Brick Block Figure

This image displays a team of two toy minifigures representing German combat medics (Sanitäter) during World War II, equipped to act as stretcher-bearers (Krankenträger). These characters are generic soldiers, representing the two-man teams who had the dangerous and physically demanding job of evacuating wounded soldiers from the battlefield to an aid station. Their highly visible markings were intended to identify them as protected medical personnel under the Geneva Conventions. The items in the picture consist of two identical toy minifigures and their primary piece of equipment:

• Each medic is wearing a standard grey German field uniform. Their headgear is a Stahlhelm (steel helmet) that has been painted white with a large red cross on the front for maximum visibility.
• For further identification, they both wear a white bib over their chest and a white armband on their sleeve, each also featuring the red cross emblem.
• The central accessory is a white stretcher (or litter), which the two medics are holding, ready to transport a casualty.
