MOC – Aircraft (F-35 Lightning) – Classic Size Building Blocks

The item is a German Stahlhelm with Spring/Summer Camouflage accessory, designed for minifigures.

German M35/M42 Stahlhelm (Spring Green Camouflage Pattern) This is a custom printed headgear accessory representing the standard German steel helmet covered in a distinctive green-dominant camouflage pattern. The print features a complex mix of bright green, dark green, and tan spots. This specific color palette replicates the “Spring” or “Summer” (Frühling/Sommer) side of the famous reversible helmet covers used by German elite forces.

Background: As a counterpart to the “Autumn” orange pattern, this helmet represents the Spring/Summer side of the reversible camouflage cover (Tarnüberzug). German soldiers would wear this green side facing out during the spring and summer months to blend in with green foliage, grass, and forests. The pattern closely resembles the historical “Oak Leaf” (Eichenlaub) or “Plane Tree” (Platanenmuster) designs pioneered by the Waffen-SS, which were the first mass-produced military camouflage uniforms in history. In a LEGO diorama, this helmet is perfect for scenes set in the invasion of France, Operation Barbarossa, or the Normandy campaign during the summer.
