Detailed Set Description

The formation uses red oval shields with green foliage and white flower-like emblems. Gray helmets. White crest/plumes on sword and staff figures. All eight figures carry the same red-and-green oval shield design. The eight characters have a mixture of facial expressions and carried equipment, giving the group shared colors and distinct roles.

Included contents: Eight equipped figures with eight headpieces and eight shields; one sword, one ball-topped staff, one standard/banner staff, 2 spears and three crossbows.

Individual Figures in This Set

1. Sword Bearer

One shield-bearing swordsman forms a prominent close-combat character. The sword stands beside red oval shields with green foliage and white flower-like emblems, linking the figure to the company’s colors. In an imagined camp or gate scene, this character can stand with the specialist figures while the spear soldiers form the longer rank.

2. Ball-Topped Staff Bearer

One armored figure carries a ball-topped staff and a shield. The round staff head gives this character a different silhouette from the sharp spear points around it. It can provide a focal figure in a marching or assembly display, without assigning an unverified historical rank to the staff.

3. Banner Bearer

One figure carries the pictured standard or banner staff with a shield. Its tall decoration rises above the helmets and offers a gathering point for a camp, road or parade layout. The model decoration identifies the supplied design without proving the name of a real legion.

4. Spear Infantryman 1

One armored infantry figure carries a spear and a shield from the red oval shields with green foliage and white flower-like emblems group. The straight spear adds height above the shield face, keeping the repeated shield artwork prominent at the front. A position beside the sword-bearing character can give an imagined front rank a clear edge.

5. Spear Infantryman 2

One armored infantry figure carries a spear and a shield from the red oval shields with green foliage and white flower-like emblems group. The straight spear adds height above the shield face, keeping the repeated shield artwork prominent at the front. Placed beside the staff bearer, this figure can connect the specialist group with the regular infantry line.

6. Crossbow Bearer 1

One armored figure carries a crossbow with the matching red-and-green oval shield. The horizontal bow contrasts with the long upright spears of its companions. Placed beside a wall, the figure can suggest a ranged-weapon watch position. This stylized combination belongs to the set’s Roman-inspired fantasy theme.

7. Crossbow Bearer 2

One armored figure carries a crossbow with the matching red-and-green oval shield. The horizontal bow contrasts with the long upright spears of its companions. Placed near the banner, it can add a different weapon silhouette to the gathering. This stylized combination belongs to the set’s Roman-inspired fantasy theme.

8. Crossbow Bearer 3

One armored figure carries a crossbow with the matching red-and-green oval shield. The horizontal bow contrasts with the long upright spears of its companions. Placed at the end of the group, it can complete the mixed-weapon company. This stylized combination belongs to the set’s Roman-inspired fantasy theme.

Historical / Thematic Background

This eight-figure set combines a Roman-inspired armored appearance with a distinctive mixed-weapon arrangement. Red oval shields carry green leaf-like decoration around gray central bosses, creating a shared identity across every figure. A pale helmet crest, paired plumes and a red banner add height above the formation. The set’s visual character comes from that consistent shield design and its variety of equipment, rather than a claim to reproduce one documented military unit.

Three crossbow-bearing figures create a different silhouette from the two spear soldiers. A sword bearer, ball-topped staff bearer and banner bearer complete the group, each carrying the matching oval shield. The crossbows should be understood as visible features of this stylized set; their particular shape and combination with the armor do not establish the equipment of a specific ancient army or period. Different expressions provide another layer of individuality.

A builder can arrange the group along a wall, around an entrance or within an imagined fortified camp. The crossbows add a horizontal shape beside the upright spears and standard, allowing several distinct display positions. Repeated red-and-green shields keep the company coherent even when its members occupy separate parts of a scene, while the banner supplies an obvious gathering point.
