Detailed Character Identification, Description, and Historical Background
Character Identification
A medieval-inspired black and red wolf knight supplied with a matching banner.
Detailed Character Description
Brown-and-gray chest armor bears a pale wolf-head device. The figure has silver-colored outer armor, patterned gray leg armor, a red sweeping plume and a facial-hair detail shown in the inset. The figure has its black shield with a pale wolf head and red edging. The complete figure package adds a black hanging wolf-head banner with red edging, on a black pole with a gold-colored forked finial. The knight retains the pictured shield and polearm; the green dragon photograph also shows its removable helmet held beside the figure.
Historical / Thematic Background
A pale wolf head contrasts with the dark shield, red edging and brown chest artwork. The same angular animal face identifies the knight across its equipment. Red plume accents distinguish it from the blue eagle and green dragon members of the group. Medieval shields used recognizable devices to help identify their bearers. Here, the emblem and color choices connect the miniature’s own equipment and make its fantasy role easy to follow.
European armor combined different forms of mail and plate over time. This toy uses an enclosed helmet, shaped shoulder pieces and printed armor textures to evoke that broad visual tradition. Its particular plume, colors and sculpted forms belong to the supplied miniature, rather than a complete museum reconstruction. The figure can be arranged with other heraldic knights while retaining its own matching equipment and anonymous identity.
The upright banner gives the figure a taller presentation suited to a castle entrance, a small assembly or a scene in which several imagined households meet. Its pole and forked finial are included alongside the knight’s equipment. The banner design is a visible miniature component, not evidence of a particular historical regiment or campaign. This package contains one complete foot knight and its flag equipment; it does not include a horse or an additional standard bearer.
Included Contents
One complete black and red wolf knight with its pictured helmet, red plume, outer armor, shield, polearm and banner with pole and finial. One figure; no horse or other figures are included.
