• Headgear & Accessories:

  • The figure features a custom-molded hairpiece depicting his signature swept-back white hair.

  • In his right hand, he holds a printed tile accessory featuring the official logo of his political party: “morena – La esperanza de México” (Morena – The Hope of Mexico). The print accurately utilizes the party’s signature burgundy, green, blue, and yellow color palette.

• Facial Printing & Expression:

  • Unlike traditional photorealistic figures, this face print accurately mirrors the beloved “Amlito” cartoon design. It features prominent eyebrows, large expressive eyes, a distinct rounded nose, and a wide, friendly smile showing his front teeth. This perfectly captures the lighthearted and populist spirit of the famous caricature.

• Torso & Upper Body Clothing:

  • The torso block depicts a formal black business suit worn unbuttoned over a white collared shirt, paired with a bright yellow tie.

  • Draped diagonally across his chest is the beautifully printed Mexican presidential sash (Banda Presidencial), prominently featuring the green, white, and red national tricolor. The center of the sash showcases the intricate golden Mexican coat of arms (an eagle devouring a snake on a cactus).

• Legs & Footwear:

  • The leg blocks seamlessly continue the black suit trousers. The printing includes the bottom tail of the green presidential sash extending just below the waistline, grounded by simple black and white shoes at the base.

Historical Background

Andrés Manuel López Obrador, commonly referred to by his initials AMLO, served as the 65th President of Mexico from 2018 to 2024. He is the founder of the left-wing National Regeneration Movement (MORENA) party. Known for his populist approach, his daily morning press conferences (mañaneras), and his focus on anti-corruption and social welfare, he became one of the most popular and influential political leaders in modern Mexican history.

This specific brick figure is based on “Amlito,” a famous political cartoon caricature of López Obrador originally created in 2006. Over the years, the cartoon became so deeply ingrained in Mexican pop culture that it evolved into a beloved, unofficial mascot for his political campaigns and the MORENA party. The caricatured image is incredibly popular among his supporters and can frequently be found printed on everyday merchandise like keychains, t-shirts, plush toys, and even talking dolls. This figure flawlessly captures the endearing cartoon design alongside his iconic presidential sash and party branding, making it a highly unique piece of modern political memorabilia.
