Character Identification

Black Gold Silver and Gunmetal Tiefutu Style Armored Warrior Collection Medieval China.

Detailed Character Description

The collection contains 4 complete human or animal figures, with the matching pictured worn pieces, weapons and fitted animal equipment as applicable.

Historical / Thematic Background

Armored troops formed part of the military cultures of medieval China. Helmets, body protection, shields and polearms served different practical purposes, while mounted troops depended on trained animals and suitable equipment. Surviving material and historical images show considerable variation across periods and regions. A modern miniature that combines these features should therefore be distinguished from a reconstruction of one identified archaeological armor set.

The supplied designs use overlapping armor forms, prominent helmets and large handheld weapons to create a heavy-warrior theme. Some are marketed under the name Tiefutu. This listing uses that wording as a style label rather than assigning a specific wearer, regiment or battle. The visible color scheme, shield pattern and matching equipment identify the actual toy package more reliably than an unsupported historical rank.

An individual figure includes its pictured matching worn pieces and weapons. A complete warhorse is an animal figure with its saddle and armor, rather than an equipment-only accessory. Collections identify each figure and animal counted in the sale; extra views and face insets do not add complete people. Shared equipment is included as stated without an extra component charge. The related designs can be displayed together to compare armor silhouettes and the roles suggested by spear, shield, crossbow or mace.
