Detailed Character Identification, Description, and Historical Background
Character Identification
An unnamed Chinese Mongolia-garrison themed soldier in a blue tunic, distinguished by a pale diagonal strap, printed saber detail and strongly lined cheeks.
Detailed Character Description
The bare head has dark eyebrows, highlighted eyes, cheek lines and a small closed mouth. The blue tunic has a dark central fastening design, red shoulder markings and a broad pale strap across the chest. A brown fastening and curved saber or scabbard motif sit over a purple-gray waist wrap. Gray trousers meet black boot artwork with orange bands and turquoise line details. Both hands are empty. The strap, waist wrap, saber motif and boot details are printed artwork.
Historical / Thematic Background
China’s Second World War experience included prolonged fighting between Japanese and Chinese forces. This figure approaches that wider period through the supplier’s Mongolia-garrison theme, with a blue tunic and regional-style clothing details that distinguish it from a standardized modern combat uniform.
The pale diagonal strap and wrapped waist create a layered appearance across the torso. A curved saber motif gives the design a different visual character from the collection’s ammunition-pouch figures. Here, that equipment is represented by flat printing on the figure itself.
The lined face adds an individual character to a small garrison or regional-force display. Orange and turquoise boot details continue the design below the belt, helping this member remain recognizable beside the gray-uniform figures and the other blue-clad soldiers.
Included in This Listing
One complete figure with the pictured head and uniform design. Straps, weapons, bags, pouches, canteen or spectacles shown on the figure are printed artwork. No separate handheld weapon, headgear or loose equipment is included.
