Gefreiter Seaman or Private First Class German Kriegsmarine (Navy) during the World War II – Custom Printed Brick Block Figure

This minifigure represents a Gefreiter, a rank equivalent to a Seaman or Private First Class, serving in the German Kriegsmarine (Navy) during the World War II era. His identity is explicitly confirmed by the text at the bottom of the image.

He is a generic character representing an enlisted sailor. The figure is depicted wearing his formal dress uniform, which would have been worn for parades, ceremonies, or when on shore leave, rather than for daily work aboard a ship.

The items in the picture consist of the detailed minifigure and his rifle:

• The toy minifigure is wearing the traditional German sailor’s uniform. This includes a white jumper with a blue “sailor collar” and striped cuffs, worn over dark blue trousers.
• His headgear is a formal sailor’s cap with a tally band that has the word “Kriegsmarine” printed on it.
• His rank of Gefreiter is indicated by the single chevron printed on his upper left sleeve.
• His weapon accessory is a Karabiner 98k (Kar98k) rifle. This was the standard-issue bolt-action rifle for all branches of the German Wehrmacht. While not a sailor’s primary tool at sea, it would have been used for guard duty, training, and by naval infantry units.
