German Fire Police (Feuerschutzpolizei) NCO from the World War II – Custom Printed Brick Block Figure

This image displays a toy minifigure representing a German Fire Police (Feuerschutzpolizei) NCO from the World War II era. The text identifies his specific rank as Unterwachtmeister, which is equivalent to a junior sergeant.

The figure is depicted in the service uniform of this organization. He wears a dark blue tunic and black trousers, which was the standard color for the German Ordnungspolizei (Order Police), including the fire brigades. He is equipped with a black leather belt and cross-strap. For protection, he wears a grey Stahlhelm (steel helmet) that features the police decal on the side. His face is printed with a battle-worn expression, including a cut and stubble, reflecting the dangerous nature of his job.

He comes with two key accessories:

• A large fire axe, a primary tool for forcible entry and clearing burning debris.
• A pair of bolt cutters (shown in the inset), another essential tool for rescue and firefighting.

Historical Background: The Feuerschutzpolizei was the nationalized, paramilitary fire-fighting and rescue service of Nazi Germany, organized as a branch of the Ordnungspolizei (Order Police). During World War II, their role became exceptionally dangerous and critical. They were the primary responders to the massive, devastating fires caused by Allied bombing raids on German cities. These men were not just civilian firefighters; they were a uniformed service operating in warzones on the home front, tasked with rescuing civilians and fighting infernos under the constant threat of subsequent bombing waves. This figure represents one of these frontline emergency responders.
