MOC – Main Battle Tank (Leopard 2) – Classic Size Building Blocks

The item is a German General Officer Visor Cap (Schirmmütze) accessory, designed for minifigures.

German High Command / General Officer Visor Cap (Grey, Red & Gold) This is a custom molded and printed headgear accessory featuring the distinctive “saddle” shape of the German officer’s peaked cap. The cap features a Field Grey crown contrasted by a striking Red band around the base. It is heavily decorated with Gold accents, including the Chin Cords (cap cords), the Wehrmacht Eagle (Reichsadler) insignia on the peak, and the Oak Leaf Wreath with Cockade on the red band, indicating high rank.

Background: The Schirmmütze was the standard service cap for German officers during World War II. The specific combination of Gold piping/cords and Gold insignia was strictly reserved for Generals (Generale). While standard army caps had a green band, this variant with the Red band is a distinctive representation of the High Command or General Staff (Generalstab), mirroring the famous red “Larisch” collar tabs and trouser stripes worn by German Generals. In a LEGO diorama, this is the definitive piece for a Field Marshal or a top-ranking Commander overseeing the battle.
