These Luftwaffenhelferinnen were essential to the air defense of the Reich. They operated telephone switchboards, teleprinters, and radio equipment, relaying vital information about incoming Allied bomber streams to fighter squadrons and flak batteries. Despite being non-combatants, they served in dangerous locations, including anti-aircraft towers and command bunkers during air raids.
