German Luftwaffe Pilot officer from the World War II – Custom Printed Brick Block Figure

This is a toy minifigure representing a German Luftwaffe Pilot, most likely an officer, from the World War II era.

The Uniform and Headwear:

• Visor Cap: The figure is wearing a Luftwaffe officer’s visor cap (Schirmmütze). The cap is blue-grey and features two important printed insignias on the front: the Luftwaffe eagle (Luftwaffenadler) at the top, and the national cockade surrounded by an oak leaf wreath below it. The cap also has printed silver piping, which often indicated an officer.
• Tunic: He is wearing a Luftwaffe service tunic (Fliegerbluse), not a flight suit. This was the standard uniform for service and dress. The tunic is the characteristic blue-grey color.
  • On the right breast is the Luftwaffe eagle insignia.
  • On the collar, there are printed collar tabs (Kragenspiegel) which were used to denote rank and branch.
  • Just below the left pocket flap, a printed ribbon is visible. This black, white, and red ribbon represents the Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse), a common and prestigious military decoration.
  • A black leather belt with a silver buckle is printed around his waist.
• Trousers and Boots: The figure’s legs represent matching blue-grey trousers. He is wearing tall black leather boots, which were standard for pilots and officers.

The Figure’s Head: The head is printed with the face of a mature soldier, featuring a small mustache and a stern expression.
