The item is a German Stahlhelm with Autumn Camouflage accessory, designed for minifigures.

German M35/M42 Stahlhelm (Autumn Camouflage Pattern) This is a custom printed headgear accessory representing the standard German steel helmet covered in a distinctive tri-color camouflage pattern. The print features a mix of rusty orange, dark brown, and black irregular spots. This specific color palette replicates the “Autumn” (Herbst) side of the reversible camouflage helmet covers used by German elite units.

Background: During World War II, the German military (specifically the Waffen-SS) pioneered the use of mass-produced camouflage. Their helmet covers (Tarnüberzug) were fully reversible: one side featured green tones for Spring/Summer, while the other side, depicted here, featured orange and brown tones for Autumn/Winter. Soldiers would flip the cover to match the season, allowing them to blend in effectively with fallen leaves and dead vegetation. In a LEGO diorama, this helmet is essential for depicting battles that took place in late 1944 or the fall season.
