Sergeant Major from the Polish 5th Kresowa Infantry Division – Custom Printed Brick Block Figure

This minifigure represents a Sergeant Major from the Polish 5th Kresowa Infantry Division, a renowned unit of the Polish Armed Forces that fought with the Western Allies during World War II. This character is a generic senior non-commissioned officer (NCO) from this division, which was composed of Polish soldiers released from Soviet captivity and is most famous for its crucial role in the Italian Campaign, including the brutal Battle of Monte Cassino.

The figure’s specific identity is confirmed by several historically accurate details printed on the uniform:

• The Polish military eagle is printed on the front of his helmet.
• A shoulder title reading “POLAND” is on his right arm, which was worn by Polish troops to distinguish them among Allied forces.
• The divisional patch on his left arm depicts a bison on a red shield, which is the specific emblem of the 5th Kresowa Infantry Division.

The items in the picture consist of the detailed minifigure and his weapon:

• The toy minifigure is wearing a British-style khaki battledress uniform and a Mk II steel helmet, which were standard equipment supplied by the British to the Polish forces under their command. The figure has printed details of British P37 webbing with ammunition pouches.
• The weapon accessory is a British Sten submachine gun. This simple, mass-produced weapon was a staple of British and Commonwealth armies and was widely supplied to Allied forces, including the Poles fighting alongside them.
