United States Army or Marine Corps machine gunner from the Vietnam War – Custom Printed Brick Block Figure

This minifigure represents a United States Army or Marine Corps machine gunner from the Vietnam War era, as you correctly identified. The Chinese text in the image, “机枪手” (jīqiāng shǒu), also confirms his role as a “Machine Gunner.”

He is a generic character, embodying the appearance of a heavily armed infantryman who would have provided suppressive fire for his squad with a weapon like the M60 machine gun. This look, with ammunition belts draped over the shoulders, is one of the most iconic images of a front-line soldier from that conflict.

The item in the picture is a single, detailed toy minifigure:

• He is wearing an olive drab uniform, which was the standard color for U.S. forces for much of the Vietnam War.
• His headgear is the classic M1 steel helmet with a printed camouflage net cover.
• His specific role as a machine gunner is clearly shown by the belts of ammunition printed as if draped over his shoulders and chest.
• The face is printed with a shouting, aggressive expression and a cut on his cheek, depicting a soldier in the heat of battle.
