Character Identification
Three period-themed versions of Chiang Kai-shek, showing olive, dark green and khaki military uniforms.
Detailed Character Description
The collection includes MTUV151 in olive uniform and field cap with a printed brown shoulder strap; MTUV152 in a dark green uniform and peaked cap; and MTUV153 in a khaki uniform and yellow-banded peaked cap. Each has its own facial, collar, pocket, belt and breast-decoration printing. The main image shows all three members. The additional two-figure articulated-pose image is a detail view of the WWII and Civil War members within this three-figure collection.
Historical / Thematic Background
Chiang Kai-shek’s public career extended across several distinct phases of twentieth-century history. As a Nationalist leader, he commanded forces during the war against Japan and participated in wartime Allied diplomacy. The end of the Second World War was followed by renewed large-scale conflict between the Nationalists and Chinese Communists, culminating in the Nationalist defeat on the mainland in 1949.
The ROC central government then relocated to Taiwan, where Chiang resumed the presidency in 1950. The Taiwan Strait became a continuing focus of regional military and diplomatic tension during the Cold War. These changes provide the historical framework for the collection’s WWII, Civil War and Taiwan-period themes.
The three figures turn that chronology into a visual comparison of one person’s representations. The olive field uniform has a prominent printed shoulder strap, the dark green version uses a formal peaked cap, and the khaki version adds a yellow cap band, pale facial details and white hands. Each retains its matching headgear and separate printing. Display them together as a historical character study or place the appropriate version in a period-themed scene; each outfit is a stylized miniature interpretation.
