Detailed Character Identification, Description, and Historical Background
Character Identification
A brown German First World War-themed cavalry horse brick figure with printed saddlecloth details and the pictured black saddle.
Detailed Character Description
The brown horse has a black mane, tail and lower hoof sections, with printed black bridle lines and small pale ring details around the head. Tan saddlecloth panels run along both flanks. Their printing includes a brown pouch on one side and a small dark roll above a pale hanging-pack design on the opposite side. The black saddle is supplied separately beside the horse in the main image. The pouch, straps and pack illustrations are printed details rather than additional loose equipment.
Historical / Thematic Background
Horses remained essential to armies during the First World War, even as motor vehicles and railways carried increasing amounts of military traffic. Riding horses served cavalrymen and officers, while other horses moved supplies, ammunition and artillery. A mounted animal could therefore belong to a much wider wartime landscape than a dramatic cavalry charge alone.
On the Western Front, damaged roads and difficult ground made animal transport especially important. Horses and pack animals could help move material beyond the places easily reached by wheeled vehicles. Their work supported the everyday needs of troops, connecting rear-area supply activity with units closer to the fighting.
This German cavalry-themed miniature presents that military-horse subject through its printed bridle, tan saddlecloth and field-equipment illustrations. The black saddle provides the pictured riding equipment, while the two sides of the horse show different pouch and pack artwork. It can form part of a First World War cavalry camp, stable or broader military display alongside separately sold figures. The listing supplies the complete pictured horse and saddle, allowing the animal itself to be displayed as a product rather than treating its printed equipment as a separate accessory.
